I’m a ceramicist and I handbuild, sculpt and throw my ceramic pieces, which are decorative and/or functional. My work celebrates animals, nature, people and patterns. It can be highly illustrative, fantastical and whimsical, simple or detailed, smoke fired or coloured, and each tells a story or hopefully raises a smile.

I paint in oils, mostly marines and landscape of Peterhead and the surrounding area. I try to capture the effects of light and atmosphere in my paintings; the ever-changing moods of the sea and land. Trina explores the natural environment using a variety of techniques and materials. Woodlands, hedgerows, country lanes and paths, it is the haphazard growth of foliage that fascinates her to experiment with printing techniques and the possibilities of layering monotype within her paintings. Joined in her studio this year by Deb Munro.

My art is inspired by our ever changing countryside and our proximity to the river and sea. There are works in a variety of media and are mainly semi abstract. Prints in canvas, acrylic and photoboard along with cards, mini- booklets and fridge magnets are also available.
