My work is inspired by the reflective colour and movement found in water and my unique lustre glazes help create my pieces which are iridescent as well as being decorative and domestic. Driven by curiosity about origins, I explore the parallels between the microscopic and vast, from atoms to solar systems. My work also reflects the similarities in art, science, and religion, revealing shared forms and themes. Working across jewellery and multidisciplinary art, I question the boundaries between function and expression.

Louise’s art is always inspired by the environment and wildlife, capturing the interplay of light and its effect on the juxtaposition of flora and fauna. She explores the decorative patterns formed by shadows and shapes, aiming to convey the delicate balance and inherent beauty of the natural world.

I cast and create decorations and collectables using dot work and dot mandalas. Using acrylic paints in vibrant fun colours and occasional added sparkle from rhinestones or chameleon pigments. I love colour and seeing how people react to mixed combinations that bring smiles to their faces.

Doric Studio. Formed in 2017 we are in our 2nd year in our own space at 35 Mid Stcoket Road. Inspired by the places, people and culture of Aberdeen and theNE of Scotland we create designs workings with local artists and designers. We screen print clothing, prints and skateboard decks at our studio.

I am a mixed media artist. My passions are hand sewing and embroidery. I like to incorporate elements of nature into my work. I hope you can come along to see my creations.
