I work with stoneware, mainly hand building and slip casting. I tend to use neutral and earthy colours, bringing sculpture and decorative elements to useful objects. I believe my inspiration is a mixture between Scottish contemporary artists and my Portuguese origin and tradition.

I design illustrative printed textiles inspired by the wild Aberdeenshire landscape, as well as local folklore and fairy tales. I specialise in silk and wool scarves featuring my narrative prints in vibrant colours – wearable art works with lots of hidden details to discover. There is always more than what first meets the eye!

I like to make functional baskets that are used and enjoyed. Exhibiting with Hilary Duncan and Sarah Pooley with daily demonstrations of basketmaking, cerqmics and textiles. Also, collaborating across venues with Mel Shand artist in residence for the Far Orchard Project at the Barn in Banchory.

I work with many experimental kiln formed glass processes such as fusing, drop forming, slumping and casting. I am influenced by our natural Scottish environment, dramatic North East coastlines, ever changing weather and seasons. I challenge myself creatively to describe the colours and textures within our environment through different glass forms.

Retired and loving working with wood in its many shapes and forms. My inspiration comes from the natural world around me. I enjoy collaborations with other artists including my sister in law June Lillico a textile / mixed media artist with whom I am exhibiting.

I am an abstract systems painter who loves working in a range of mediums from oil paint to resin. The celebration of colour and the enjoyment of paint are the basic ingredients in my work. I am delighted to welcome you to my art studio where I will be exhibiting a variety of paintings.
